Nicotinamide (Niacinamide) wordt relatief vaak gemeld met bijwerkingen zoals artrose, nachtzweten en systemische lupus erythematosus. Deze meldingen zijn opvallend, omdat nicotinamide een vitamine B3-vorm is en niet direct bekend staat om deze effecten. Pijn in ledematen en misselijkheid worden ook vaker gemeld, wat logischer kan zijn bij hogere doseringen. 'Vaak gemeld' is niet hetzelfde als 'vaak veroorzaakt'. Dit vervangt geen medisch advies.
